The Director of Admission is responsible for developing and executing strategies to attract, recruit, and enroll a diverse and talented student body at NWSC.
This role involves managing the admissions team, overseeing the admission process, and collaborating with various departments to ensure alignment with the college’s mission, goals, and accreditation standards.
The DOA will also enhance the college’s visibility and reputation in the community and beyond.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive admission strategy that aligns with NWSC’s strategic goals and enrollment targets.
- Analyze market trends, student demographics, and other relevant data to inform recruitment strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the admission team, ensuring high performance, motivation, and professional development.
- Set clear goals and expectations for the admissions staff and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Oversee the entire admission process, from inquiry through enrollment, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for prospective students.
- Implement and monitor admission policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and institutional policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of applications, including review, evaluations, and decision-making.
- Work closely with academic departments, marketing, and other stakeholders to develop and implement recruitment strategies for specific programs.
- Oversee the financial and institutional aid programs to provide prospective students with accurate and timely information about tuition, scholarships, and financial aid opportunities.
- Develop relationships with high schools, community colleges, community organizations, and other institutions to promote NWSC programs.
- Represent NWSC at college fairs, recruitment events, and other community activities to raise the institution’s profile.
- Maintain accurate records of all admissions activities, including inquiry, application, and enrollment data.
- Prepare regular reports on admissions metrics, trends, and performance for senior leadership.
- Utilize data to make informed decisions and recommendations to improve recruitment and enrollment outcomes.
- Develop and manage the admission budget, ensuring the efficient use of resources to achieve recruitment goals.
- Monitor expenses and provide regular financial reports to the CAO.
Qualifications :
- Masters in Business Administration, Marketing, Higher Education, or other related degree.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in admissions, recruitment, or related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding enrollment targets.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in admission software and CRM systems.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
Working conditions :
- Standard office environment, with occasional travel required for recruitment events and community outreach.
- Some evening and weekend work may be required to meet deadlines or attend events.
