Job Description

The Sr. Analyst, Health Economics & Outcomes Research is part of Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA) function and reports directly to Executive Director, Global Health Economics & Market Access.

This role will be responsible for driving the development of research projects in Health Economics and Outcomes Research in support of market access and evidence strategies.

The incumbent will be expected to leverage their expertise to inform the design, implementation, and analysis of research projects to generate evidence to support the development of Health Economic and Outcomes Research projects for the Olympus portfolio of products.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for analyzing healthcare data to evaluate the economic and clinical outcomes of various healthcare interventions, treatments, and programs and to inform market access strategy for Olympus innovative medical devices
  • Analyze data and synthesize findings to develop evidence-based recommendations for market access and outcomes research, and to inform value proposition development
  • Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses to assess healthcare utilization patterns, treatment effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement evidence-generation strategies and creation of value propositions
  • Utilize expertise in HEOR to identify and evaluate the potential value and cost-effectiveness of Olympus technologies
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in healthcare policies and regulations related to HEOR methodologies
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and healthcare providers
  • Partner with key opinion leaders and external organizations to gather insights and validate research findings
  • Manage and analyze large datasets to support health economic modelling, outcomes research and decision-making
  • Contribute to the development of global health economics and outcomes research strategies
  • Other related job duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required :

Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, epidemiology, health economics, public health, health services research or a related field is required.

Advanced degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) within the medical device or pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in conducting health economic modelling, outcomes research projects, creation of tools and collateral related to HEOR, reimbursement, health policy topics
  • Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, R, STATA, or Python, with a strong understanding of data manipulation, regression analysis, and predictive modelling techniques.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. healthcare systems including health policy trends, payment systems (inpatient / outpatient / physician / ASC) and associated documentation / coding requirements.
  • Excellent Communication and project management skills, with the ability to effectively present HEOR data and recommendations to various stakeholders.
  • 10%-15% travel as needed.
