POSITION SUMMARY
Our multi-state capital goods sales and service (distribution) business immediately needs a Shipping Receiving Facilities full-time team member.
This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining routine building operations to ensure efficient functioning. The role involves performing or coordinating preventative maintenance on all distribution and material handling equipment, ensuring the warehouse operates safely and efficiently.
Location : Delafield, Wisconsin - In office
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping : Receiving and distributing all incoming and outgoing UPS and FedEx packages.Operating both small (4,350 lbs.) and large (15,000 lbs.
forklifts, including assisting outside riggers on machine moves over 15,000 lbs.Loading and unloading incoming freight, ranging from small pallets to large machines, using forklifts and other moving equipment.
Constructing shipping crates and pallets.Ordering and managing all shipping supplies.Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the shipping area.
Handling pickup and delivery of various order items via company vehicle.Receiving, inspecting, and stocking shelves with incoming products.
Picking orders and preparing shipments for domestic and international delivery.Preparing and wrapping machines for shipping.
Unpacking and preparing machines for the showroom. Building Maintenance : General maintenance of the building, including stocking bathrooms, replacing HVAC filters and batteries, and repairing lightbulbs and plumbing fixtures.
Conducting necessary repairs of doors and loading docks.Emptying trash cans and paper shredder as required.
Ensuring a safe and clean work environment by maintaining cleanliness and organization in designated areas.
Performing spring / fall ground cleanup and snow removal on sidewalks and loading dock areas.
Maintaining company vehicles.
Managing maintenance vendors.

CORE EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of warehouse and / or facilities experience
Certified forklift
Self-leadership, interpersonal communication, and relationship-building skills
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet all deadlines
Exhibit a high level of professional conduct, integrity, and accountability
Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using wise judgment that is consistent.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and UPS shipping software.
Flexible in the work environment and weather
Ability to travel as needed for the role, estimated at 10%
MENTAL / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to be on your feet while performing job requirements
Ability to sit for periods depending on the job requirements.
Frequent alpha / numeric keyboarding.
Ability to view a computer for periods.
Ability to exert up to up to 75 pounds occasionally.
Ability to balance, reach, and grasp as needed for the job.
Ability to crouch, grasp, and lift products above shoulders to properly lift boxes and products from the floor.
WORK SCHEDULE
This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week.
This position is located in the office, not remote or hybrid.
This position is non-exempt.
