Who you are

The Social Media Manager role is designed for up-and-coming talent, providing the opportunity to work alongside seasoned social media strategists and account teams while owning social projects and tasks.

It’s your chance to quickly gain expertise on a large-scale advertiser, while also bringing a fresh perspective to a diverse team.

You’ll own the planning, organization, publishing across social platforms for a renowned global hospitality brand, while also assisting in strategy development.

With the power to post to brand channels, an obsessive attention to detail and perfectionist mindset is a must. You are fascinated by emerging culture and human behavior how people communicate, how they use various channels, what’s trending in the news and pop culture, which subcultures influence where mass culture ultimately goes, who is shaping culture, etc.

You possess a self-starter mindset, generating ideas and suggestions for how existing efforts can be enhanced, or where there are new opportunities for brand development.

What you will do

You’ll play a multi-faceted, central role for the brand on social, both from a strategic and operational standpoint. Your day-to-day will include managing content calendars, publishing, mining UGC, moderating handles, staying on top of trends + conversation and helping determine when and how the brand should join in.

With 1-2 years of community management experience, you will manage social media communications for various brands and ideally have hands-on experience with social publishing tools, such as Sprinklr.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Assist in content plans that choreograph how and when content will live across channels.
  • Stay up-to-speed on the latest digital and social platform developments with a focus on YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok, keeping the team abreast of new opportunities.
  • Elevate the creative quality and effectiveness of social content by recommending and implementing features specific to each platform.
  • Develop client-ready reports for activations, campaigns and always-on efforts, with a focus on producing actionable learnings and testing plans.
  • Utilize social as an always-on source of consumer insight that helps to inform higher-level strategic planning.
  • Support strategists by conducting research for strategic planning and POVs.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Schedule all brand social posts within publishing tool or natively.
  • Partner closely with the media team to upload all assets within publishing tool for handoff.
  • Optimize content for channel best practices. For example, using native platform features (hashtags, stickers, etc), and ensuring SEO best practices are applied for YouTube videos.
  • Facilitate all external client social reviews through publishing tool while communicating feedback to relevant internal team members for revisions prior to publishing.
  • Interact with consumers on social channels as the voice of the brand, as needed.
  • Communicate with business units on client side to publish a variety of content under one unified, strategic vision.
  • Ensure all content is compliant, based on factors such as usage rights.
  • Work closely with the creative team to gather the appropriate formats for varied channel needs.

Critical Experience

  • 1-2+ years of full-time, professional experience working within digital / social marketing
  • Hands-on experience with a social media publishing tools (e.g. Sprinklr, Meta Business Manager)
  • Planning and managing content calendars
  • Quality assurance when routing materials for approval and posting to social channels
  • Ability to conduct research for POVs and digital planning
  • Ability to operate within a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to extract social media metrics and deliver detailed reports
  • Passionate about social media.
  • Bonus points if you have created a successful social-oriented side project, e.g., a popular meme account or running a personal social media presence.

All hires must be located in or willing to relocate to New York OR Nashville to work from our offices hybrid three days a week.

The annual salary range for this role is $70,000-$80,000 and may vary depending on the candidate’s experience. Other compensation includes relocation costs, if applicable.
