minimum qualifications for this position. The qualifications are :
Three years of experience performing clerical, keyboarding, or paraprofessional work in an office environment.
Candidates may also be qualified for permanent competitive appointment if reachable from the appropriate
Civil Service eligible list or eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
Duties Description The incumbent will perform general activities in support of the Administrative Services Group as assigned, including, but are not limited to :
Assist in the hiring process, which includes preparing job postings, clearances, canvassing and
coding Civil Service lists.
- Provides office clerical support and assists in Personnel activities.
- Interact with Department employees and managers.
- Candidates must be able to prioritize assignments and work independently on numerous tasks
simultaneously.
- Candidates must also be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the Department's response to Regional and State-wide emergency situations.
