About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Medical Surgical - Ortho / Trauma Job Duration : 8-week assignment Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Information not provided Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Medical Surgical.
First-time travelers are accepted. License : Must have a current state or compact license at time of application. Certifications : BCLS Must-Have : Ability to work up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule- Availability to work holidays if required- Experience with adult to geriatric patient populations- Familiarity with Pyxis, EPIC & SBAR Job Description : Work in the Medical Surgical unit specializing in orthopedic and trauma cases.
- Ensure full compliance with requirements prior to start date.- Orientation consists of 13 hours.- Be prepared to float within the facility or to a sister campus if needed.
- Responsible for a patient ratio of 1 : 5-6.- Provide comprehensive care to adults and geriatric patients.- Flexibility with schedule requests is important, with a maximum of 7 days off requested per period.
- Engage effectively in team communication and patient handoff using SBAR.- Maintain systematic medication administration via Pyxis and documentation in EPIC.
