A Licensed Substitute replaces a licensed employee (teacher) in the event of his or her absence. Substitute jobs may be in-person or virtual.

Provide three letters of recommendation for substitute teaching as part of the licensed substitute hiring process.
Responsibilities :
- Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the classroom teacher
- Maintain the regular routine of the classroom whenever possible
- Perform all of the duties of the classroom teacher, including covering extra classes if needed
- Responsible for the pupils, equipment, and materials assigned to them for the assignment (all materials and equipment borrowed must be returned to the proper authority before leaving campus)
- Leave a brief summary of the day's activities for the classroom teacher (summary may include behavior issues, special circumstances for the day, work that was done or not done during the day)
The 2024-25 Licensed Substitute School Year Pay : $ per day for full day assignments (4.51 hours or more)
$ per half day assignment (4.5 hours or less)
This position does NOT receive benefits.
This position is on-call, as needed. Licensed substitutes can select when and where they would like to work (flexible schedule).
