Adecco Medical is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Patient Care Assistant to join our client's team in Indianapolis, Indiana - 46240.
This is a permanent and direct-hire position.
Shift
- Monday-Friday
- 3pm-6pm
16-18 per (depending on experience)
Requirements
- Active Driver’s License
- Auto insurance
- Must be able to clear a background check (background check scans entire record for lifetime)
- Some prior experience is preferred
- TB vaccination or the ability to be vaccinated.
Job Description
- Patient Care Assistants will be primarily working with geriatric patients
- Patient Care Assistants may need to travel with their patient to run errands (Prescriptions, doctor’s appointments, etc.
travel is limited to a 10-mile radius from home.
- Mileage and gas are reimbursed .50 cents per mile
- PCA’s will be primarily out in the field, very rarely going to the office.
- Ensure clients receive their medication on time
- Support clients who can’t move on their own
- Help clients dress, bathe, eat etc.
- Assist clients with physical therapy exercises
- Cook meals according to the customer’s restrictions
- Help customers with their shopping
- Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment
- Provide emotional support
- Inform physicians or supervisors about uncommon events
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
