Elevanta, an Atlanta-area AMCI-accredited association management company, manages several franchisee associations made up of franchise owners from multiple national brands (Burger King, Buffalo Wild Wings, QDOBA, Meineke, Supercuts and more).

JOB SUMMARY : The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the administration of Elevanta’s unique self-funded employee benefits program.
Working in a team and collaborative environment, this position works in our benefit service center that manages our complex program.
The Benefits Specialist has frequent contact with employer groups participating in the program and must possess a working knowledge of employee benefits programs and government regulations.
JOB DUTIES
- Processes benefit changes on a daily basis
- Coordinates program open enrollment
- Handles COBRA administration
- Identifies and recommends changes in polices and procedures
- Implementation of new groups
- Handles data transfers with ASO provider
- Resolves claim discrepancies with ASO provider
- Prepares and distributes invoices to all franchisee members ensuring enrollment changes and qualify events are processed accurately
- Research monthly billing discrepancies for members
- Verifies the calculation of the monthly premium statement for all group insurance policies and maintains statistical data relative to premiums, claims and costs
- Direct liaison with franchisee-members, handling calls and resolving issues
- Resolves administrative problems with the carrier representatives
- Works with HRIS provider to implement annual plan changes
- Maintains files of history, data, correspondence, reports and forms
- Oversees record keeping and retrieval methods in compliance with government regulations
- Keeps current on regulations pertaining to the Affordable Care Act, COBRA and the Department of Labor that may affect the program and / or its participants
QUALIFICATIONS
Four-year college level degree in human resources or related field · 5+ years in benefits or related benefits administration .
Must have experience and knowledge of PC-based computer systems with a strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Strong interpersonal skills· Good knowledge of company and departmental policies and procedures
