Role Overview :
The Electro-mechanical technicians will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing automated machinery and computer-controlled mechanical systems in an industrial setting.
Electro-mechanical technicians will also test, operate, or maintain robotic equipment.
Areas of Responsibility :
- Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a part, machine, or piece of equipment
- Verify dimensions of parts, using precision measuring instruments, to ensure that specifications are met
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair on a wide range of pumps, motors, valves, etc.
- Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and robotic systems
- Test the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test instruments
- Install electronic parts and hardware, using soldering equipment and hand tools
- Operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns
Food Safety Responsibilites :
Perform duties in accordance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures
Qualifications :
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Experienced in operating a variety of equipment
- Working knowledge of hand tools, meters
- Excellent manual dexterity
- Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Education & Certifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment experience in a manufacturing environment
- Technical certifications and / or AS in Electronics, preferred
