Department : Assembly - Pharma Location : Plymouth, MN
Material Handler - 1st Shift
Responsibilities Include :
- Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with molding supervisor, leads and operators to determine material requirements;
- Prepares gum stock material for molding, including milling, adding pigment, and preparing load weights, and ensuring that material to be molded is continuously fresh;
- Compiles and maintains manual and computerized records such as computer inventory, in process production records, and status and location of materials;
- Monitors material usage for all presses, determines when additional material is required to complete job orders, mills / cuts additional material when necessary;
- Records all material allocation and issues transactions;
- Backs-up LSR mixing as required and breakout molders as needed, when there is time;
- Responsible for the receipt and testing of all incoming materials / components as required;
- Follows manufacturing procedures which includes documentation of product traceability;
- Other duties as required and / or assigned.
Related Industry Experience :
- Silicone background; material handling;
- Knowledge / training to ISO 13485 (current) Standards;
- Medical / Clean Room knowledge / experience.
Essential Functions of the Job :
- Math skills is a must;
- Must be able to lift 40+ pound pails of silicone frequently during the shift;
- Must have use of both hands;
- Position requires good corrected vision, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, communication skills and the ability to work in a limited amount of space in a clean room environment.
