NEW RESTAURANT
Osha Thai Kitchen is excited to introduce authentic Thai cuisine to Houston! As we prepare for our grand opening, we are looking for friendly and organized hosts / hostesses to create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor as they arrive and guide them to their tables.
- Manage the reservation system and maintain an organized waitlist during busy times.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating and service flow.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials and promotions.
- Monitor the dining room to ensure cleanliness and a welcoming environment.
- Assist with coordinating takeout orders and ensuring timely service.
- Handle guest inquiries and address any concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, including food and beverage offerings, to assist guests with questions.
- Assist in training new host / hostess team members as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for hospitality.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
REQUIRED TRAINING / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in a hosting or customer service role preferred.
- Familiarity with Resy is a plus.
- Must have Texas Food Handlers Certification (or be willing to obtain).
