GES is supporting an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies and is currently seeking a System Administrator located at Ft. Meade, MD.
PROGRAM SUMMARY :
The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities’ common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA’s Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office.
Your role is critical to the overall operational and end User Experience (UX) as automation capabilities impacts each user across the global enterprise.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT :
Must hold an active Secret clearance prior to start and be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance. (US Citizenship required)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Tier III Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM / SCCM) support and will install Management Servers, Agents, reporting servers, and data warehouses where necessary and configure rules and alerts consistent with the support structure.
- Implement and troubleshoot Certificate Authorities, DNS, DHCP and other core Windows components.
- Provide technical assistance pertaining to Active Directory & SSO in planning and development of new projects.
- Support and maintain user account information including rights, security, and system groups.
- Managing security across the network by deploying new security patches and policies and monitoring activity for signs of intrusion or compromise.
- Resolve a wide range of system issues, troubleshooting software and hardware, diagnosis of network issues, and addressing trouble tickets and service tasks across all tiered levels.
- Assist with achieving optimum performance and availability standards through implementing appropriate technical solutions.
- Responsible for completed the day-to-day tasks associated with system administration in the DES Compute Environment.
- Provide on call 24 / 7 support to the current operations team when troubleshooting / resolving incidents with enterprise systems.
- Provide escalation support to the NOC / monitoring team when troubleshooting issues with enterprise systems.
- Work within the DevSecOps methodology to plan and support implementation of new technologies
- Work with other service teams to resolve enterprise incidents as part of the DES Operations Problem Solving Team.
- Work with the monitoring team to address issue that will impact system availability.
- Attend meetings weekly and provide weekly status reports.
- Must have flexible working hours to be available to support team when needed to include : occasional on call support (typically one week at a time every two months) or additional hours based on mission need.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Must have a DoD IAT Level II certification (Sec+), or higher, prior to start.
- Advanced administration experience with all Active Directory Domain Services.
- UNIX and Windows administration experience.
- Trouble reporting and tracking systems such as REMEDY experience.
- Must be able to lift / move / carry equipment when necessary (max 40 pounds)
