POSITION SUMMARY
The Controller directs the financial activities for CCHS which includes : Unqualified opinion with no material weaknesses or significant deficiencies in annual audit;
Facilitate practice transformation; Improve automation, reporting, and access to reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for successful results from all audits, including financial statements, 401(k) plan, and grantors' audits.
- Manages the day-to-day activities of the accounting staff, including hiring, training, and managing employee performance and development.
- Prepares and distributes financial reports for the CCHS Board of Directors, the Leadership Team, governmental agencies and financial institutions.
- Ensures the payroll is processed timely and accurately and that all required reporting is completed.
- Manages the budgeting process, integrating all departmental budgets into the accounting system for reporting and dissemination of information to department managers;
assists grant managers with budget preparation.
- Establishes internal financial controls and policies governing financial matters.
- Maintains the chart of accounts and its restructure for better reporting; ensures that all account reconciliations are complete and timely.
- Prepares financial analyses for the Leadership Team, as needed.
- Prepares all outside reporting for grant funding (UDS, Medicare Cost Report, 990, etc.)
- Performs other duties, as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA and / or Master's degree.
- Experience : Eight to ten years public accounting and or corporate accounting management; knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP;
- knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems, proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statement and projections;
- proven ability to motivate teams to provide quality results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects;
working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Licenses or Certifications : Certified Public Accountant preferred. CPA and / or Master's degree.
