Job Description

DEMDACO, a worldwide gift, home décor and seasonal product company is seeking a Warehouse Associate Team Lead to work in our Edgerton, Kansas distribution center.

We are seeking a Warehouse Associate that is highly motivated, energetic and has a passion for working in a family-oriented team environment.

Briefly describe the position responsibilities :

Responsible for the operation of a section within the Warehouse function. Supporting the Leadership Team with the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, responsible for a group of operators and ensuring an efficient warehouse operation in achieving business targets.

Provide line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets, KPIs, and quality standards are met in order to meet the requirements of the customer.

Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely.

Work under general supervision, reviewed by Leadership. Decisions and results have an impact on the function and their success.

Performance affects the function's image.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following : (additional duties may be assigned)

  • Communicate testing information through the appropriate channels
  • Working with vendors on equipment issues
  • Report any art issues to PD team
  • Work with supervisor answer OM / sales questions about when orders will ship
  • Maintain daily productivity records
  • Assist in managing the flow of MTS and RR workorders
  • Printing work order floor reports
  • Completing the work order through oracle
  • Assist in managing workflow on the floor
  • Operates overloaded machines (machine that has highest workload)
  • Help maintain waste logs and keep record of the cause for waste
  • Release work to the floor
  • Coordinates with maintenance and production planning to schedule downtime
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Good knowledge of warehouse systems
  • Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality
  • Good planning skills and able to meet targets and deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail skills

Computer Skills :

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, word processing software and Adobe Acrobat Suite, Photoshop design software.
