About the Role :
Position : Service Technician
Location : Traveling
Responsibilities :
- Install equipment and train end-users, OEMs, and customers in troubleshooting, failure analysis, warranty, and start-ups.
- Liaise with the Service team, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales to communicate service issues and trends.
- Provide technical assistance, failure analysis, and troubleshooting for all Power Test products.
- Conduct periodic customer visits to gather and report product concerns.
- Resolve technical problems via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Draft formal quotes for service and parts.
- Follow up on service-related issues needing attention.
- Submit detailed reports on inspections, service work, and regional activities.
- Document customer interactions, service visits, and expenses.
- Assist in writing technical service bulletins and product operation manuals.
- Provide technical support to internal teams for resolving various problems.
- Recommend product improvements based on customer feedback.

Qualifications :
- Associate's degree or 4-8 years of related experience in electronics / electrical controls, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to travel globally up to 60% of the time.
- PC proficiency including MS Office.
- Experience with small hand tools, power tools, electronic testing equipment, and reading blueprints and schematics.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Experience :
- Global travel experience.
- Knowledge of electrical / electronic control systems and vehicle drivetrain, hydraulics, and control systems.
- Wiring and soldering skills.
- Familiarity with Infor / Visual or Syspro (MRP / ERP systems).
Physical Demands and Work Environment :
- Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Frequent exposure to mechanical parts, electrical sources, and high noise levels in various facilities.
