STV has an immediate opening for an Environmental (NEPA) Project Manager to work on a variety of projects. Preferred location would be in greater Dallas / Fort Worth, or Houston .

Other offices within the Texas Mountain Region will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning and managing multidisciplinary projects and processes (i.e. technical studies and NEPA CEs, EAs).
  • Defines the level of environmental analysis required. Coordinates the work of professional staff on projects.
  • Develop, cultivate, and strengthen client relationships.
  • Involved with marketing, proposal development, client interviews, preparation of scopes and fees, and document production.
  • Participates in reviews with various governing agencies for compliance.
  • Leads preparation for and participates in public meetings, noise workshops, and hearings.
  • Serves as a technical resource and assigns work to other staff and coordinates workload throughout project development to complete documents on schedule.
  • Tracks financial aspects of projects. Coordinates and adjusts the workload effort with the internal team and subconsultants to ensure that work is completed within the parameters of the agreed to schedule.
  • Mentors junior environmental staff across the Texas Mountain Region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental sciences, transportation planning, environmental planning or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of related consulting experience.
  • Established and successful history managing and leading NEPA studies for transportation projects.
  • Practical knowledge and experience with environmental regulations : Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act, Environmental Justice, Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, and others.
  • NEPA, CEs, EA's, and TxDOT experience.
  • Expertise in one or more technical specialty preferred (wetlands delineation, threatened / endangered species, noise, socio-economic studies or public involvement).
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • TxDOT Environmental Pre-certifications including : 2.14.1 are preferred.
  • Protected Species Permit Holder is a plus.

Compensation Range : $126,513.00 - $168,684.00
