Job Title : Quality Engineer
Job Description :
We are seeking a diligent Aerospace Quality Assurance Engineer to monitor, inspect, and propose improvements to our space systems.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring that our aerospace systems meet company and industry quality standards, developing quality control processes, troubleshooting issues, and fixing faults.
Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of aerospace engineering principles and quality assurance methodologies. Ultimately, you will play an essential role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our aerospace systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards for our aerospace systems.
- Inspect and test materials, equipment, and production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Analyze failure, corrective, and preventive actions to respond to customer complaints.
- Investigate and identify the root causes of quality issues, non-conformities, and defects in aerospace components or systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
Conduct regular process audits to ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and documentation requirements.
Provide recommendations for process improvements.
Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality requirements, conduct supplier audits, and monitor supplier performance.
Ensure that purchased materials meet quality specifications.
- Assess risks related to design changes, manufacturing processes, and materials. Develop risk mitigation strategies to prevent quality-related problems.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts by participating in quality improvement projects, Six Sigma initiatives, and lean manufacturing practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of quality control and familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
- Practical experience in aerospace quality assurance is highly valued.
