Shift : Variable D / N 12x3, 36 hours per week

Requirements :

• NH / Compact License
• Must have a minimum of 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience
• Telemetry experience
• Chest tubes, Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone, Lines / Tubes / drains for post-surgical patients, Trachs / Laryngectomies, Complex wounds, Central Lines care and maintenance and blood draws

RN Patient ratios : days : 1 : 4 nights 1 : 536 bed adult surgical unit that cares primarily for trauma patients and acute care surgical patients.

This unit does have 2 negative pressure rooms that can serve our COVID population. This is a very busy unit where rehabilitating and supporting our patients needs is our highest priority.

The most common diagnosis on the unit; Traumas including : spinal cord injuries(new quadriplegics and paraplegics), traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic injuries occurring as a result of a trauma.

Acute Care Surgical diagnosis : hernia repair, small bowel obstructions, appendectomy, cholecystectomy. Travelers need to have experience on a fast pace medical surgical unit preferably with Level I Trauma center experience but serval years at a Level II Trauma center is acceptable.
