About The Position
As an Echo Locum Tenens clinician, you have the freedom to choose what assignments you cover. You will also receive competitive pay with related travel and lodging provided, malpractice insurance with tail coverage, and full-service support staff, which includes credentialing, logistics, payroll, and licensing assistance.
Facility : Montefiore Nyack Hospital Address
20 ICU beds Setting : Inpatient
Medical and Surgical ICU Patient Mix : Mix of medical and surgical cases
Adult / Peds : 100% / 0%
EMR : Epic
Montefiore Nyack is a level 3 Trauma center. It is a certified Stroke center. Some of the specialty cases at Montefiore Nyack ICU are post cardiac cath, Trauma, Neurosurgery, Vascular surgery, Thoracic surgery, OB&GYN and Ortho.
Shifts available : DAYS 8am to 6pm 24 / 7 in-house Intensivist with APP coverage from 8am to 6pm Privileges available : Full Privileges, Temp Privileges
Credentials Accepted : APP NP’s and PA’s with Critical Care experience
Skills / Procedures : Provider needs to be highly comfortable with high acuity patients / procedures including but not limited to central lines, arterial lines and HD cath placement.
Workload :
- CC APPs work every day from 8 am to 6 pm.
- They can be assigned up to avg 10 patients.
- APP are expected to be able to complete a CC H&P or CC consult.
- Daily progress notes on their patients.
- Respond with the intensivist to code blue.
- Their notes must be cosigned, and the attestation statement needs to be documented.
- They can assist placing orders during MDRs.
- They can lead rounds on the patients they are caring for and the intensivist will serve as a resource.
