Established in 1911, Salina Country Club is the city's second oldest business and has long been a cherished landmark atop Tom White Hill, offering a picturesque setting alongside the Smoky Hill River.
Acquired by JRI Hospitality in 2021, the club is currently undergoing significant upgrades and expansions, including new dining room enhancements and plans for a state-of-the-art golf simulator.
Additionally, architectural and design plans for course renovations are set to begin in early 2025.
With a 40,000 square-foot clubhouse that includes three dining areas with fireplaces, separate bar facilities, and a variety of social activities, Salina Country Club provides its members and guests with an unparalleled experience.
The club also offers a magnificent 18-hole championship golf course, four lighted tennis courts, a spacious swimming pool with a 163 ft.

Job Summary
Salina Country Club is seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead all aspects of our club operations. This role is responsible for managing daily activities, fostering member and guest relationships, overseeing department heads, and ensuring the highest standards of service and quality.
You will play a pivotal role in upholding our club’s values and strengthening our community ties.
Essential Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management : Hire, manage, and develop department heads, including the Food and Beverage Manager, Greens Superintendent, Head Golf Professional, Assistant General Manager, and Membership Director.
Ensure departments perform to stated goals.
- Financial Oversight : Identify and manage the club’s budget, monitor revenues and expenses, generate revenue reports, manage payroll, and invoice club activities.
- Operational Management : Ensure the club operates in compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Maintain accurate administrative records and uphold confidentiality.
- Member and Community Engagement : Develop programs that respond to member needs, serve as the community liaison, and ensure exceptional customer service.
- Marketing and Sales : Develop and oversee the implementation of the marketing plan to promote the club and its events.
Experience Required
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in recreation, business management, agronomy, turf management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience : Previous experience as a General Manager for a golf course preferred.
- Skills : Expertise in personnel and business management, as well as the care and maintenance of golf courses.Extensive knowledge of food and beverage operations, laws, standard sales, and marketing practices.
Proficiency in point of sale and management software, word processing, and spreadsheets.Exceptional planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
Ability to provide high levels of customer service and attention to detail.Experience in risk management.
Physical Requirements
- Vision and Hearing : Ability to read documents, use a computer, and communicate in person.
- Mobility : Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and lift over 25 pounds when necessary.
- Dexterity : Proficient in using the phone, typing, and writing.
