This is an entry level position. Your progress will be evaluated and there is an opportunity to move to a Production Associate Level 2 or 3 position once you are hired by the company.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for learning the assemblies and operations of production. The employee will be expected to know each of the different job functions that make up the assembly line of various product lines.

The employee will be responsible for attaining the production rates established by the Production Manager in order to meet customer delivery schedules.

To perform this job successfully, the selected individual(s) must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties and job responsibilities listed below.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cross-train in different production operator jobs.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Attain production goals within a reasonable period of time.
• Assist in ensuring materials are at the work centers in a timely manner to avoid inefficiencies and lack of materials when needed.
• Responsible for understanding and following all safety procedures, policies, and standards.
• Foster and operate in a continuous improvement environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, prioritize, and execute work activities.
• Must have proven ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to effectively communicate with peers and managers throughout the company.
• Ability to effectively handle a variety of tasks.
• Ability to learn and follow work instructions.
• Good sense of safety.
• Strong sense of personal accountability.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position is moderately active with the majority of the work done in the production area. Lifting up to 50 pounds may be required on a daily basis as well as walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting.

SAFETY

Safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE may be required in production areas. Employees must provide their own safety toe or steel toe boots / shoes.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in a typical manufacturing environment where the temperature is not maintained throughout the year.

In addition, there may be exposure to equipment, noise and / or chemicals depending on the specific job to which assigned.
