Admissions Requirements :

NYC public high school students (including recent high school graduates) and charter school students based in NYC.

Application Deadline : Early June (annually).

Highlight : Do you want to learn podcasting and tell stories about your community? The Bell is looking for young people eager to dive into podcasting through their three-week summer podcasting academy. This immersive, hands-on program will help you create your own podcast episode while working alongside professional storytellers, editors, and producers. You will learn skills including interviewing, scriptwriting, audio recording, and audio editing. Collaborate with fellow interns and professional editors, and meet industry professionals. Any NYC public high school student, including recent graduates and charter school students, is eligible to participate in the Bell Podcast Academy. Participants will gain storytelling skills, complete a podcast episode, receive a $500 stipend, daily lunch, and a metro card allowance, and have the opportunity for future internships with The Bell.
