PRODUCTION PLANNER
CONROE TX 77301
PAY $33-$36HR
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES :
Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accuracy in production planning.
Create, update, and monitor the weekly production schedule based on customer orders, inventory levels, and resource availability.
Coordinate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to align machine capacity, workforce availability, and material requirements.
Track progress against the production plan, proactively identifying risks (e.g., capacity constraints, material shortages) and implementing corrective actions.
Use the GSS system to generate stock orders and interact with the production department to confirm requirements.
Perform product tests on the production floor to estimate dispatch times and detect possible delays.
Communicate production priorities and schedule changes effectively across departments.
Ensure adherence to all relevant procedures, work instructions, and policies outlined in the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation.
Participate in QMS audits and inspections as required.
Report any NCRs or deviations from QMS standards to the appropriate authority.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing processes, products, and services.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of activities, transactions, and relevant documentation.
Actively participate in training programs and workshops aimed at enhancing job-related skills and knowledge.
EXPERIENCE :
3–5 years of progressive experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience using ERP / MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Global Shop) to manage production schedules and material requirements.
Proven track record of balancing multiple priorities such as machine capacity, manpower, and material availability while meeting customer deadlines.
Hands-on experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics) to ensure alignment of the production plan.
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies, with measurable results in efficiency or cost reduction preferred.
Bilingual : English - Spanish
EDUCATION :
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Advanced training or certifications in Production Planning, Lean Manufacturing, or APICS (CPIM / CSCP) preferred.
