Join our team at Capital One and be at the forefront of a major transformation within the company. We are looking for a Back End Software Engineering Senior Manager who is dedicated to leveraging data and emerging technologies.
Responsibilities :
- Lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects and a team of experienced developers in creating solutions that meet regulatory needs
- Stay current with tech trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in technology communities, mentor team members, and occasionally code or evaluate code
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially
- Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, alongside open source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, and container orchestration services
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree
- Min. 6 years of professional software engineering experience (excluding internships)
- At least 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Min. 4 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master's Degree
- 9+ years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
- 3+ years of experience with cloud services
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 7+ years of people management experience
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
