Job Description

This position is responsible for maintaining facilities in a safe operating condition; addressing immediate operational and / or safety concerns;

assisting skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at job to ensure maximum production quality and quantity, while supporting Company policies, goals and objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Maintain and repair company equipment as directed

2. Adhere to established procedures and work instructions as well as assembly and installation instructions set forth in vendor manuals and specifications

3. Monitor the use and inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies and equipment and report discrepancies or insufficiencies

4. Communicate progress of plant equipment repairs and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance related problems

5. Maintain and update operating and training manuals for the maintenance department as directed

6. Review the operation of the plant equipment and system constantly to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and to identify opportunities for improvement

7. Carry out projects as directed that improve efficiency and reduce operating / maintenance cost

8. Assist in tracking and improving key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance costs, and PM compliance schedule

9. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment at all times

10. Communicate directly with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities

11. Communicate the progress of plant equipment repairs and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance related problems

12. Assist in planning and implementing improvements and expansions

13. Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

2 years equivalent experience in maintenance and / or operations of a manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of education and experience
