Responsibilities

Location : Einstein Medical Center- Philadelphia

Per Diem : Weekend on-call availability required. P ay for hours worked / on-call pay

Shift : Weekend on-call, 8 AM to 4 PM

A nonexempt position responsible for assisting with electroencephalographs (EEG), an instrument that measures and records the electric activity of the brain, and related patient care.

Prepares patients, performs procedures, and collects information pertinent to interpretation. The procedures include but are not limited to : measuring and applying electrodes according to the 10-20 system, utilizing Natus technology, prepare patients for routine and long term studies.

This position requires providing service to the following age population(s) neonate through frail elderly in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional / developmental age of the individual served.

Qualifications

Education / Training / Experience : (indicate if required or preferred)

High school education required. Post high school clinical neurophysiology education / training required. Completion of accredited EEG training program preferred or relevant EEG training and experience needed.

Licenses / Certifications : (indicate if required or preferred)

ABRET registry eligibility required. R. EEG.T certification must be obtained within one year of hire.

Conditions of Employment

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson’s clinical entities or at the University.

If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.

Conditions of Employment

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check.

The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
