Description
SAIC is seeking a PNT Integrated Mission Delta (IMD) Systems Engineer to join our diverse PNT Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) team in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The PNT SE&I Team provides Space Systems Command (SSC) specialized engineering, analysis, planning and execution in support of Global Positioning System (GPS) Programs of Record (PoRs) and the PNT Enterprise.
Major duties of the Position Include :
Performing systems engineering analyses, technical reviews, and assessments; coordinating analyses efforts, methods, and techniques;
developing products and briefings; and performing technical engagement with, and briefings for and to, government customers and stakeholders.
- Identifying derived requirements from government specifications and interface control documents, operations documents, and assisting with translating requirements into digestible information useable by Integrated Mission Delta (IMD) Chief Engineer and staff.
- Supporting IMD Chief Engineer in defining, capturing, validating, and maintaining technical requirements, capability delivery prioritization, schedule, and cost risks throughout the system lifecycle ensuring unified mission readiness, and developing risk mitigation courses of action and assessing impacts of risks and proposed changes.
- Maintaining control of and provides engineering recommendations to the government on all development, sustainment, and operations projects / studies / tests from inception through completion.
- Facilitating / leading discussions and engagements between principal stakeholders to ensure progress in resolving IMD top priority engineering challenges and provides status and recommends Courses of Action.
- Conducting analyses to trace IMD efforts to capabilities, functions and requirements, as well as tracing high-level requirements to system, segment level requirements.
- Generating documentation to demonstrate compliance with requirements and products to communicate the PNT IMD's progress toward delivering capabilities from development into operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years of previous systems engineering, system transition, sustainment, and / or PNT / GPS subject matter expertise, and / or or equivalent relevant experience.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience in military and / or space systems operations, transition to operations, acquisition, sustainment, and / or development.
- Relevant experience conducting space systems engineering analyses, technical reviews, and assessments.
- Experience in derived requirements from government specifications and interface control documents, operations documents, and assisting with translating requirements for space systems.
- Relevant experience in defining, capturing, validating, and maintaining technical requirements, capability delivery prioritization, schedule, and cost risks throughout the system lifecycle for space systems.
- Experience in and understanding of developing risk mitigation courses of action and assessing impacts of risks for space systems.
- Relevant experience in control of and providing engineering recommendations to the government on development, sustainment, and operations projects / studies / tests for space systems.
Desired :
- Experience working with Air Force / Space Force / DoD customers in an acquisition, sustainment, and / or Operational environment, with space and / or ground systems.
- LiveLink experience.
- MS365 SharePoint Applications experience.
Target salary range : $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
