Senior Director of Data & Analytics

We are looking for a Senior Director of Data & Analytics to lead the development and implementation of our data infrastructure, while also partnering with leadership to shape strategic business initiatives.

This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise in data systems and analytics, alongside the ability to translate data into business insights that drive growth and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working hands-on with data systems and processes, while also contributing to high-level decision-making by working closely with cross-functional leaders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage a team of data engineers and analysts, while also contributing as an individual contributor when needed, focusing on both building and optimizing data infrastructure.
• Develop and oversee the execution of the company’s data strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and providing both technical and strategic leadership.
• Collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams to define and solve critical business problems through data-driven insights and solutions.
• Design and implement scalable, high-quality data pipelines and ELT processes using tools such as dagster, dbt, and Fivetran to ensure efficient data processing, storage, and access across the company.
• Manage and optimize the data storage infrastructure, leveraging Snowflake for scalable and secure data storage.
• Translate complex data analytics into clear, actionable business recommendations for senior leadership, driving better decision-making across the company.
• Maintain high data quality and governance standards, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security across all systems.
• Lead the implementation of business intelligence tools to improve data accessibility and enable stakeholders to access key insights.
• Evaluate and implement new data technologies and methodologies to keep the company on the cutting edge of data practices.
• Mentor and grow the data engineering and analytics team, fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment.

Qualifications :

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics, with a proven ability to lead technical teams and execute data strategies aligned with business needs.
• Strong experience with data architecture, pipeline development, and infrastructure management in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proven track record in partnering with business teams to drive value through data insights and analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages used in data processing and analysis.
• Experience with ETL tools such as dagster, dbt, and Fivetran, and familiarity with data storage solutions like Snowflake.
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., ThoughtSpot, Hex, Tableau, PowerBI, Looker) and data visualization techniques.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across technical and non-technical teams, translating data into business outcomes.
• Leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to build, manage, and mentor data teams.
• Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and best practices around data quality and security.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience in advanced analytics and machine learning is a plus.
• Experience working in high-growth or dynamic environments, with an ability to adapt to changing business priorities.
