Job Description :
As a Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will work within a school district to assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication disorders.
Your role will involve collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized treatment plans that support students in reaching their communication goals.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with specific goals.
- Provide direct therapy services, both individual and group, to address speech and language needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure student progress.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings to establish and review goals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of services and student progress.
- Train and guide teachers and staff in strategies to support communication challenges in the classroom.
- Stay informed on current best practices and research in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology in California.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (or CFY candidates with strong clinical experience).
- Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in school settings.
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders, therapy techniques, and IEP development.
- Willingness to travel and work in various school environments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
