Job Title : Senior Accountant

Location : Houston, Texas Metro Area

Work Schedule : 3 Days On-Site, 2 Days Remote

Compensation : $90,000 - $110,000 base salary plus performance-based bonus

Position Overview

Our client, a growing company in the Houston Metro Area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage essential accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization and supporting its financial objectives.

The candidate will work on-site 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and accounts payable / receivable.

Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.

Prepare and analyze financial reports to support internal and external stakeholders, providing insights and variance analysis.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards, maintaining strong internal controls.

Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, contributing to financial planning efforts.

Support financial audits, collaborating with external auditors to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.

Assist with tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar accounting role.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Experience with month-end close processes, financial statements, and audit preparation.

Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
