Job Summary
Assist referring cardiologists in the rehabilitation of patients recovering from, suffering from, or at risk of developing cardiovascular ailments.
They are responsible for developing and administering individualized exercise programs for patients with cardiovascular chronic diseases or disorders and providing education and strategies designed to improve, maintain and attenuate declines in health and fitness with attention to age specific needs.
Qualifications
Education : Graduate of an approved school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Experience : Three (3) years experience in an acute care hospital. At least one (1) year experience in in a cardiac rehab program preferred.
Licensure, Certification, Registration : Current license as a registered nurse in the State of Connecticut and BLS / ACLS certification required.
