What We Need

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our Applications Engineering team within our Core Software Engineering organization.

In this role, you will collaborate with front-end developers, UX designers, and other component teams and will be responsible for the operator-facing applications that run and manage our automated picking system.

You will lead the team's delivery of features and be involved with technical designs, architecture, and discussions.

What We Do

The Applications Engineering team is part of the Core Software Engineering organization, which is responsible for the design, build, scale, and maintenance of a portfolio of software platforms and services.

This team works in close cross-functional collaboration with our Breakpack, Bot, Controls, Production IT, and onsite Customer Deployment and Operations teams.

What You’ll Do

• Provide technical leadership across engineering teams to develop, innovate, and continually improve product design.
• Lead development for the automated picking system applications.
• Contribute to web and mobile applications to remotely monitor and interact with the Symbotic system.
• Collaborate with other development teams and product managers to break down requirements, design solutions, and execute business requirements.
• Perform and guide activities such as design and code reviews, identifying improvements to software quality, performance, and integration tests.

What You’ll Need

• 12+ years professional experience developing user-facing software applications.
• Degree in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or related experience.
• Strong experience with .NET frameworks, C#, and WPF.
• Experience with Angular web frameworks or similar web technologies a plus.
• Self-motivated, with an ability to learn quickly and independently, and work in a dynamic agile environment with cross-functional and remote teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
