Position Summary

A Transportation Design Engineer at VS Engineering will independently lead design tasks for transportation projects in our Cincinatti, OH office.

The Cincinnati office is the latest addition of the VS family, established in 2019 together with the Columbus office to spearhead the firm's growth in Ohio.

Situated in the city's center, its closeness to key water resource business partners and the University of Cincinnati fosters a dynamic and vibrant environment.

A Typical Day May Include

• Lead the preparation of planning documents, engineering plans, details, reports, specifications and construction cost estimates for a variety of transportation projects
• Coordinate with clients, regulators and permitting agencies
• Developing existing and new client relationships, helping VS grow it's Ohio transportation project portfolio
• Prepare and contribute to portions of transportation project proposals, change orders, client contract and communication pertaining to specific projects
• Generating transportation designs aligning with the most up to date design standards
• Research and prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies

Requirements :

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program
• Passed Professional Engineering (PE) exam preferred
• 4-8 years relevant work experience in public sector work preferred
• Technical knowledge / computer skills :
• Microsoft Office products : Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
• Adobe or Bluebeam
• AutoCAD Civil 3D and / or MicroStation
