Facility : Comprehensive medical center with a network of healthcare providers offering a wide range of services.

Opportunity :

  • Looking for a locum NP / PA to provide PRN coverage!
  • PRN : 7-5 shifts; Call schedule : 5p-8a
  • Call rotation : 1 : 3
  • No weekends!
  • Practice Setting : Inpatient Behavioral Health, Hospital Consults
  • Average number of patients per day : 10-15
  • Patient Age Demographic : Adolescent - Geriatric
  • Total number of beds : 28 adult, 8 adolescent
  • Child / adolescent ages to be seen : 8-17
  • Ages 8+
  • PA will be working autonomously
  • Supervising Physician present during assignment : YES, in some instances, the psychiatrist is remote via telehealth
  • EMR : Cerner
  • Level III Trauma
  • Credentialing Timeframe : 30-90 days

  • Delirium, Dementia, and Cognitive Disorders
  • Life Cycle and Adjustment Disorders

  • Somatoform and Factitious Disorders

    • Mood Disorders

  • Psychotic Disorders
  • Substance-Related Disorders

  • Life Cycle and Adjustment Disorders

  • Somatoform and Factitious Disorders
  • Required Duties :

    • Diagnose

  • Performing Admission Histories and Psychiatric Assessments
  • Performing Physicals
  • Performing Rounds
  • Ordering and Interpreting Diagnostic Studies
  • Prescribing Medications
  • Managing Ongoing Care Through Consultation with the Psychiatrist
  • Ordering Referrals
  • Administrative Duties
  • Coordination of Care
  • Addiction Education / Management

    • Compensation : Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
