The Director, North American Sales (Central US) is responsible for meeting their assigned organization's sales objectives through effective leadership of the market team.
The Director is responsible for strategic planning and financial management of the sales department as well as staff development, customer contact, communication, and ethics and compliance of the market team.
The Director, North American Sales must live in the central United States.
Where you'll work :
While you'll have the option to work from home some days, this role requires significant travel to meet with our Solutions Consultants and other stakeholders within the assigned regions.
Your days will be filled with :
- Strategic Planning and Execution :
- Collaborating with NAMMT on strategic initiative prioritization and development.
- Providing coordination and leadership on national business initiatives.
- Providing coordination and leadership on NPI (new product introductions).
- Collaborating on field sales and sales leadership deployment strategy.
- Developing and implementing new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs.
- Assisting with regional-specific strategy development.
- Collaborating with Boardmaker team on prioritization of accounts.
- Collaborating with the sales development team on key account strategy.
- Collaborating with HCP on prioritization of accounts.
- Collaborating on customer-facing promotions.
- Collaborating on sales contests.
Financial Management Including :
- Establishing sales objectives and developing annual sales quotas.
- Delivering monthly budgeted sales-financial sales plan achievement.
- Budget development and Forecast Management.
- Setting sales quotas and sales territories.
- Collaborating on Sales Consultant and RD compensation plans.
- Expense control and compliance with T&E policy.
Staff Development and Coaching :
- Managing, developing, coaching, guiding, and motivating your RD team.
- Leading the recruiting and hiring for the sales department.
- Updating and maintaining a national list of bench talent.
- Assisting in the development of training programs for sales.
- Developing and executing coaching plans for each RD.
Strategic Account Management :
- Developing knowledge of the business climate and competition.
- Coordinating efforts on top target accounts.
- Leading field-level activities to achieve specific goals.
- Communicating monthly to NAMMT on strategic account progress.
Customer Contact :
- Responsible for calling on key customers to develop relationships.
- Collaborating with HCP on prioritization of accounts.
- Attending national trade shows.
Communication :
- Providing consistent communication to the President of the NA Market Unit.
- Communicating key initiatives and strategies to the sales team.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of solid sales management experience.
- Industry and healthcare experience required.
- Technology background with demonstrated technical skills is preferred.
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Apple, and Google products.
- Ability to sustain a rigorous travel schedule.
