Strayer University is seeking a dynamic Adjunct Faculty member to join our academics team. We are currently in search of a passionate professor for graduate-level Marketing class for the upcoming Winter quarter, starting January 06, in a hybrid format.

The hybrid format is described as teaching the course in both the in-person and online modalities. This role requires 11 in-person meeting sessions for 2 hours every week held at a predetermined scheduled time (day / evening) at a specific Strayer University Campus.

The balance of the course is instructed asynchronously online.

Teach courses as assigned from a pre-designed curriculum and utilize your professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction.

Enhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum using technology and videos.

Arrive on-campus at least half an hour prior to the start time of in-person sessions per week during the academic quarter.

Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience for the online component of the course.

Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner to support their academic success.

Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated.

Adhere to University policies and procedures.

Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required.

Job Skills :

Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) software and overall computer skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.

Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives.

Must have strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Effective time management skills.

Work Experience :

Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience are strongly preferred.

5 years of professional experience in Marketing or a related field is required.

Education :

Doctorate in Marketing or any Doctorate degree with 27

doctorate quarter credit hours (18 semester credit hours) in Marketing (Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, etc.).

or a Doctorate in a Business-related discipline with / a Master’s in marketing or any Master’s degree with 27 graduate quarter credit hours (18 semester credit hours) in Marketing Required.

Certificates, licenses, and registrations :

Professional certification in discipline specialty (if applicable).

Other :

Must be able to travel occasionally should a business need arise. For most roles, travel would not be common. Travel may involve a plane, car, or metro.

In accordance with ADA policies, reasonable accommodations regarding travel limitations can be provided. Travel will be more common for roles such as Account Executives (25 - 50%), senior leaders (10 20%), or Capella Core Faculty (5 10%).

The ability to work onsite in a Corporate or Campus location (in a typical office environment) may be required based on the role.
