Nova Biomedical is hiring a Supply Chain Manager on-site in our Waltham, MA facility to oversee the day-to-day activities of the Purchasing department and coordinate the work of Supply Chain Specialists to ensure compliance with company policies, achieve best delivery times, and maintain quality and cost efficiency.

You will provide strategic oversight and operational management to optimize purchasing, inventory control, and supplier relationships.

Additionally, you will serve as the backup for the Senior Supply Chain Manager, handling departmental responsibilities in their absence.

More specific responsibilities will include :

  • Daily Supervision : Lead and manage Supply Chain Specialists ensuring the proper execution of MRP actions, and compliance with policies and procedures to achieve optimal delivery, quality, and cost performance.
  • Production Support : Expedite critical items to prevent production bottlenecks and communicate with management regarding any delays.
  • Business Process Analysis : Collaborate with the Senior Supply Chain Manager to analyze and document business processes related to procurement.
  • Inventory Management : Oversee inventory strategies, including updating lead times, rescheduling, and canceling purchase orders as needed.
  • Leadership and Training : Provide guidance and training to Purchasing personnel on current operating procedures and resolve issues with SAP transactions.
  • Policy Compliance : Monitor adherence to procurement principles and practices, maintain department metrics, and enforce company policies.
  • Performance Management : Conduct performance evaluations, set goals aligned with company objectives, and address performance issues promptly.
  • Supplier Relations : Maintain supplier relationships and represent the purchasing group in various management and operations meetings.
  • Continuous Improvement : Develop and implement strategies to drive continuous improvement within the Purchasing organization.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Reporting : Participate in quality assurance and TUV audits of the Purchasing Department. Maintain GSA reporting requirements and file goals and results in accordance with government deadlines.
  • Project Management : Manage, track, and measure departmental project progress.
  • Backup Responsibilities : Serve as backup for the Senior Supply Chain Manager, assuming responsibility during their absence.

Qualifications :

  • B.S Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of Purchasing Management experience in a fast-paced product
  • development and manufacturing environment involving a variety of commodities.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and a solid understanding of Purchasing and Planning
  • modules in a high mix manufacturing environment. SAP experience is preferred.
  • Experience managing purchasing requirements for multiple product lines at various
  • stages within a full-service manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of GMP and ISO requirements.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact
  • effectively with all levels of management.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced product development and
  • manufacturing environment, with limited supervision.
