Speech Language Pathologist Position Details :

  • Start Date : 08 / 01 / 2024
  • Hours : Part Time (24 hours per week)
  • Contract Duration : Full School Year
  • Location : Decatur, TX
  • Pay Rate : $40-43 per hour (Based on Experience) Speech Language Pathologist Responsibilities :
  • Conduct screenings, initial evaluations, and triennial reevaluations.
  • Provide services on an individual, small-group, or classroom basis to school students.
  • Collaborate with and train other professionals and parents to facilitate students' academic, communication, and social skills in an educational environment.
  • Serve on program planning and teacher assistance teams.
  • Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and attend the meetings.
  • Provide education to families about speech and language development and how to help their children at home.
  • Serve as a consultant to other educators and related professionals.
  • Attending staff meetings, in-service trainings, and continuing education courses as appropriate or required
  • Part Time position two days a week Speech Language Pathologist Qualifications :
  • Master’s degree in special education preferred.
  • Valid teaching certificate or credential in Special Education.
  • Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the ability to develop and implement them effectively.
  • Effective communication and people skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff. Speech Language Pathologist Benefits :
