Brand & Solutions Marketing Manager
The Brand and Solutions Marketing Manager is responsible for stewarding brands as well as executing product marketing & solutions strategy for assigned commercial / B2B business unit categories.
This position will report directly to the Senior Manager of Brand & Solutions Marketing for the assigned Strategic Business Unit (SBU) and will collaborate closely with the product management and channel marketing teams, aligning brand promise strategy with business initiatives.
A successful brand and solutions marketing manager has a high degree of proficiency in strategy development and has the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to tell the story of our brands and our product solutions.
What You Will Do :
Brand & Product Positioning
Leverage strong knowledge of market and customer needs to create and implement brand promise strategy for assigned SBU(s).
Develops & executes portfolio solution marketing strategy by target audience by working in collaboration with Demand Gen, Channel and Audience Marketing Managers.
Develops storytelling and customer testimonials of portfolio solutions; creating mid-funnel content that is placed across sales and channel tools, websites, social media, and other mediums.
Provide thought leadership within our business and functional teams to inform on connecting market trends to our brands.
Strategic Planning
Develops strategic marketing plan for assigned brands supporting annual operating plan (AOP) and long range plan (LRP) based on thorough analysis of relevant data, market trends and competitive landscape.
Identifies and coordinates market and customer research.
Commercialization of New Products and Solutions
Champions commercialization of new product, solution, or reset following the Product Development milestone process when applicable
Directs paid, earned, shared, owned (PESO) media execution for SBU new products or campaigns
Develops and manages assets for new products and manages sustaining assets for existing portfolio.
Manage budgets associated with product launches and provide return on investment (ROI) analysis.
Assist in the development of internal training resources and communications.
Leadership
Identify & deploy best practices & consistency across SBU teams.
Sales & Channel Enablement
Author and maintain accuracy of content for assigned portfolio of products across a variety of platforms including collateral, web and sales and channel enablement tools.
Partner with sales for planning and execution of marketing activities; lead category sales specialist quarterly meetings.
Leads the content development and deployment of all sales & channel communications.
Digital & Agency Management
Partners with outside agencies to support marketing and business needs.
Influences the website design, look and feel and solutions brand promise.
Drive plan & execution of web optimization initiatives with Digital Marketing team
What You Need to Succeed :
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field, MBA preferred
5+ years of product marketing or related experience in a business to business (B2B) environment
5+ years in a leadership role preferred
Experience in multi-channel, multi-vertical companies, building products preferred
Experience (Proven track record) in areas of strategic planning, marketing, market research, brand positioning or management, brand preference research, promotions / advertising and execution of campaigns.
Proven track record translating market and customer research to business strategy
Knowledge of and experience in agency management.
Strong collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions (product leaders, sales, channel & vertical marketing, etc.).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage creative output with both strategy (fits with brand expression and objectives) and executional detail (costs, timing, consequences, overruns, capability assessments).
Ability to express complex topics in a simple, straightforward manner.
Experience managing budget reviews to manage monthly costs and year-to-date finances.
Ability to travel up to 10-15%.
Candidate must live within 2 hours driving distance to Carmel, IN for frequent onsite meetings.
