As part of the Human Capital Strategy Team, you will drive growth and efficiency across the Human Capital portfolio by working on Human Capital's highest strategic priorities.

Examples of this work include :

  • Lead or contribute to key strategy reviews across the Human Capital (including Health, Wealth & Talent) portfolio with business leaders.
  • Articulate and develop arguments related to key investment focus areas.
  • Develop competitive landscape reviews and pipelines to inform merger, acquisition and divesture opportunities.
  • Conduct analysis on the external landscape market and competitors, including industry trends.
  • Lead or support assessment of new products and solution development, including market opportunity, positioning, value proposition, and investment requirements.
  • Contribute to firm-wide growth initiatives.

The team works directly with the Global Human Capital leaders, Regional Health, Wealth & Talent leaders, Finance, People Organization, ABS and Marketing & Communication to help develop and implement the strategic organic and inorganic plans.

You will report directly to the Head of Strategy for Human Capital.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Lead the day-to-day execution of strategy projects, including scoping the problem, developing the project plan, driving research, analyzing data sources, drawing insights and conclusions, and planning for and assisting with implementation (as required)
  • Support the continuous development and evolution of the Human Capital and Health / Wealth / Talent strategy and key priorities.
  • Organize, drive, and analyze external market research, client needs and competitor actions.
  • Gather qualitative data and input through interviewing subject matter experts and conducting workshops.
  • Generate quantitative financial analysis related to critical initiatives, competitor performance analysis and cases.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations, using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Develop inorganic priorities and landscape reviews, including target opportunities.
  • Assist in the case development and due diligence for inorganic activities.
  • Liaise across the Human Capital portfolio and firm-wide growth efforts.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with all audiences, including senior leaders across Human Capital

Required Experience / Skills

  • Ability to role model an out-of-the-box, highly growth-oriented and challenger attitude
  • Proven leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to navigate a complex organization, align leadership and manage partners.
  • Solid experience in corporate strategy / consulting
  • Intrinsic curiosity to see the possibility in each context and distill the most valuable insights to interpret unmet needs and define highly valuable problems to solve.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to simplify complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story.
  • Gather and synthesize different perspectives and data points into compelling narrative and recommendations.
  • Sufficient gravitas to galvanize the team and make decisions.
  • Experience having worked across geographies and cultures.
  • Self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
  • Comfortable with ambiguous situations
  • Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis.
  • Excellent business and financial analysis skills, including ability to analyze data trends, draw conclusions and develop clear recommendations and action plans.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to work and think in a methodical and orderly way.
  • Flexible on working hours - global nature of work means there may be early morning or evening calls.

Preferred Experience

  • 5-10 years in strategy and M&A or relevant subject areas
  • Background in consulting, strategy, M&A, financial analysis and / or strategic planning strongly preferred.
  • Background in the Human Capital businesses is preferred but not required.

Education

Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline; graduate degree in relevant discipline preferred.

Pay Transparency Laws :

The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $90K to $110K annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.

The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
