As a Fragrance Development Manager, you’ll drive mutual success by developing winning fragrances for our clients’ brands.
You’ll be a guided partner to Fine Fragrance perfumers, offering consumer trends, creative inspirations, and strategic ideas.

Your key responsibilities
- Develop winning fragrances for mutual success of Firmenich and clients’ brands
- Partner, guide and support all Fine Fragrance perfumers by bringing them : consumer trends and data; cross-category info;
client white space opportunities; creative idea inspirations; collecting starting points
- Select submissions adapted to brief parameters and provide rationale and feed collection with updated and strategically selected ideas
- Incorporate maximum use of internal tools to practice informed creation, in particular Consumer Insights and Technical Innovation tools
- Detect and forecast future olfactive and product trends, including cross-category, with eye towards need for Fine Fragrance and Luxury / Niche brands.
- Participate to account strategy definition and execution (collaborate across functions : Marketing, Technical Innovation, CI, Perfumers, Sales) and be prepared to lead client presentations on olfactive strategy

You Bring
- This level position is driven by the number of years and complexity; importance of assigned customers and product categories, as well as a successful track record
- Strong communications, leadership and organizational skills. French Speaker is not necessary but is a plus.
- Agility, flexibility, curiosity, a growth mindset and hunger to win
- REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Fine Fragrance evaluation. Experience with Luxury / Niche brands and / or Global Accounts is a plus
- Title and compensation commensurate with experience (FDM title requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience, Sr. FDM a minimum of 8 years’ experience)
