As a Field Service Technician , you will travel to customer sites and perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities on Trystar equipment.

Supporting the Customer Technical Assistance Center, you will be responsible for boots on the ground field service support, carrying the necessary tools and equipment.

Travel availability and flexibility is essential to the role, primarily domestic with occasional internal travel. You will have the opportunity to support all product lines that Trystar offers and grow your knowledge as our product offerings expand.

In this role you will get to :

  • Work directly with customers and installers in the field, and provide various field service activities for Trystar’s offerings from planned maintenance, equipment upgrades, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Utilize Trystar specifications, drawings, certified electrical standards, work instructions, procedures and customer orders to ensure product matches requirements.
  • Responsible for testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeter, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes;

to ensure compatibility and safety of the system

  • Responsible for adhering to all safety regulations and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Keep detailed records to ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
  • Testing of products to ensure adherence to customer requirements.
  • When not travelling, support returned material evaluation and equipment troubleshooting in the lab
  • Respond to service requests, occasionally with limited notice
  • Maintain expert level of product knowledge and applications
  • Maintain and transport a toolkit sufficient for the majority of field service tasks
  • Respond to and update customer inquiries via a case management system
  • Feedback observations, customer concerns, and common issues encountered
  • 50% to 70% travel required, domestic and occasional international

Job Requirements : Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent training with electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills
  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude to perform real-time troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair
  • Electrical Safety knowledge and practice
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer relation skills
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, one lines, and specification literature
  • Ability and willingness to work in various environments
  • Ability to use digital tools to respond to and document service requests
  • Self-starter mentality with strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • A valid drivers license with a safe driving record
  • The ability to lift 40 lbs and work on your feet

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience 1+ years in electrical in the field and / or production environments
  • Electrical Master License or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Understand principles of electricity, electrical / electronic components, transformers, rectifiers, solid-state devices, battery chargers and methods used in testing electrical industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of hazards involved in working on or near energized equipment and proper safety precautions.
  • Highly motivated, passionate, with exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High comfort level establishing and growing relationships with customers and internal partners
