Roles / Responsibilities

• Consultant will work as Independent Java Developer under minimal supervision;
• Responsible for designing, developing, testing and deploying software on cloud based applications.
• He / she will work with Northern Trust Technical Lead and will work on the assigned tasks and develop the code, unit tested and support System and UAT testing.
• He / she is responsible to document the technical / business functionality of the software that was written by him / her.
• He / she is responsible to prepare Prod readiness checklist.
• He / she has to raise any questions / concerns with Northern Trust Tech Lead or SME on time to avoid any impact to the project deliverables / timelines.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in application development experience using Java, Cloud.
• Experience of working on Cloud based Java applications.
• Prior experience of Modernizing the existing Legacy application to Strategic Cloud Based Micro service application.
• Experience in development of Java J2EE applications.
• Application integration using API, REST and SOAP web services.
• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture applications and cloud-based services, preferably PCF.
• Working knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Kubernetes and CI / CD pipelines.
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0, Ping Federate, ZScaler.
• Database / Stored Procedure experience preferably with DB2, Oracle >

11g versions.

• Knowledge of code version control tools Github, Bitbucket, GitLab, etc.
• Desired experience with Spring, Web services, APIs such as JDBC, Hibernate, Eclipse IDE.
• Experience in messaging gateways Kafka, Solace, MQ.
• Cloud Computing concepts and deployment; PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), AWS (Amazon Web Services), Microsoft Azure etc.
• Experience working in Onsite / Offshore model.
• Experience in Prod Code Migrations.
