Role Overview
As an M&A Analyst at our client's boutique firm, you'll be an integral part of a close-knit team based in the heart of New York City.
You'll work directly with senior bankers and clients, contributing to high-profile, complex M&A transactions that are shaping the future of financial technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end M&A deal execution processes in the fintech sector
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial valuation models for M&A transactions, focusing on tech-enabled financial services companies
- Conduct in-depth financial and technological data analysis for company valuations and deal structuring
- Collaborate closely with senior team members and clients on M&A transaction executions
- Create and refine high-quality presentation materials for M&A pitches and client meetings, highlighting the unique value proposition of fintech companies
- Assist senior bankers with identifying and pursuing new M&A business opportunities in the Insurance, Capital Markets, and Lending verticals
- Cultivate deep expertise in M&A trends, fintech innovations, and the rapidly evolving landscape of financial services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of current M&A or investment banking experience, preferably with exposure to fintech or financial services
- Strong financial modeling skills, with a focus on M&A analysis and an understanding of tech-driven business models
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and their application in M&A, particularly in the context of fintech valuations
- Experience with financial databases and analysis tools (e.g., Factset, Bloomberg)
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, crucial for a boutique environment
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
- Effective project management capabilities and ability to handle multiple deals simultaneously
