It also is home to a 188-bed, fully accredited long-term care center.
UH Behavioral Health is the KC metro area's largest, most comprehensive provider of mental health services. The Crossroads Building , located in Kansas City's vibrant Crossroads Arts District, is its epicenter, providing a broad list of outpatient services.
We also offer psychiatric inpatient care, and we deliver therapeutic services through our community outreach clinics. We are a leader in the Trauma-Informed Care Movement, and provide training, coaching and consulting to outside organizations.
Job Description
Provides effective and coordinated front-line leadership for assigned inpatient unit(s) operating on a 24-hour basis. Assists the Director in maintaining nursing standards and supporting competent practice of unit staff.
Supports quality, safe patient care, efficient operations and personnel needs while assuring a high degree of customer service, evidence based practice, and responsible stewardship of resources.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or the equivalent in a combination of an ADN and years of relevant experience
Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience required and / or demonstrated proficient to expert clinical aptitude and leadership.
Missouri nursing license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
Current certifications per department requirements.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written
Ability to lead groups
