Responsibilities

THE CENTER FOR TRANSITIONAL NEURO REHABILITATION a department of the Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a milieu-oriented treatment center for persons with brain injuries.

The Center is designed to provide an intensive systematic day-treatment program for adult and older adolescents. Our efforts are not limited to the important tasks of helping patients walk communicate and attend to self-care needs but ultimately to help patients become independent in the home and community re-establishing satisfying relationships with their families and friends;

and to help them become productive members of society whether at home school or in the work force.

Expectations :

• Provides patient care including evaluating patient developing plan of care establishing goals and assessing progress toward the attainment of goals.
• Consults with other health care disciplines to coordinate treatment and discharge planning.
• Performs patient clinical care. Serves as resource by sharing expertise and knowledge.

Qualifications

Minimum :

• Internship or rotation in appropriate clinical setting required.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Arizona Occupational Therapist License.
• American Heart Association BLS.

Preferred :

• 2 years progressive experience in clinical area performing patient clinical care preferred.
• Masters or Doctorate degree in appropriate clinical area preferred.
• Prior use of electronic health record preferred.
