POSITION : Construction, Wildlife & Security Supervisor
REPORTS TO : Manager, Airport Operations
LOCATION : Teterboro, NJ
AIRPORT : Teterboro Airport (TEB)
SUMMARY : Responsible to the Manager, Airport Operations for the efficient operation of the airport's construction, wildlife, and security activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following :
- Supervise and participate in the planning and coordination of all airport construction projects and maintenance, to ensure minimum interference with airport operations
- Develop, implement, and maintain Construction Safety and Phasing Plan (CSPP) for all airport construction projects
- Prepare and distribute weekly Construction Bulletins, as required
- Disseminate all construction information to airport management, airport operations, airport maintenance, engineering, and the airport community
- Responsible to support AOA construction activities on all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Perform duties of Airport Security Coordinator or related function, including :
- Responsible for maintaining and overseeing the airport's ID badge database system
- Responsible for conducting Monthly ID badge audits
- Oversee the airport Driver Training Program
- Conduct annual Train-the-Trainer driver training for airport tenants
- Conduct tenant AOA driver training and auditing compliance
- Manage the AOA Gate Access Control system
- Perform required inspections of airport perimeter fence to ensure continuity
- Responsible for oversight of airport's wildlife hazard management program
- Comply with wildlife control procedures outlined in the current TEB Wildlife Hazard Management Plan (WHMP), which includes, but is not limited to the use of firearms
- Obtain required credentials for NRA Firearms Instructor to support the wildlife hazard management program
- Actively contribute to the annual WHMP reviews
- Will be available during all snow removal operations
- Will fill-in for the Operations Supervisors on an assigned shift
- In addition, follow the duties of Airport Operations Supervisor
- Maintain review process for FARs, Advisory Circulars, NPRMs and Federal Registers to ensure relevant regulations are addressed expediently
- Represent the Manager, Airport Operations in his / her absence, including appropriate meetings
- Performs other duties, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Business Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- At least two (2) years' experience in airport operations or other relevant experience. Additional job-related experience might be substituted for requirements on a case-by-case basis.
- Ability to work in and support a teamwork environment, including the airport's Safety Management System.
- Maintain currency in all FAA operational matters including Federal, State and Local regulations as they apply to Teterboro Airport and communicate information to staff.
- Demonstrated ability to function and supervise in a complex environment.
- Through appropriate training, must be able to qualify for NWS weather observations, and ability to operate heavy equipment including but not limited to snow removal vehicles and forklifts.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to obtain and sustain a valid driver's license in the person's state of residence and maintain driver record compatible with Company's insurance company's criteria.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a teamwork environment and support Avports' Quality Management System registered to ANSI / ISO / ASQ Q9001-2015 or related standard.
- If necessary, individual must be willing and be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong computer skills with ability to effectively utilize programs such as MS Excel, MS Word MS Access with ability to learn newly introduced programs.
- Continued ability to meet the necessary skills and qualifications to perform the duties of the Operations Supervisors position as identified within the current Operations Supervisor job description.
- Ability to effectively interact with staff at all levels, including but not limited to on and off airport personnel as well as all complainants, local, state, and federally elected and appointed officials and local community residents, individually or through public settings on technical information related to all facets of Teterboro Airport's Noise program.
- Ability to perform the duties of this classification.
