Job requirements :
This position requires licensure as a RN in Virginia and must have current BLS-CPR certification.
Must have experience with medication administration, injectables, and specimen collection.
The incumbent must exercise sound nursing judgement, have effective verbal, written, interpersonal / physical assessment skills and be able to work with persons from multicultural and diverse backgrounds.
Must be able to be fit tested in accordance with OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.134) Ref.2 regulations.
Must be able to have work experience demonstrating decision making skills, patient teaching, interviewing, counseling as well as be able to analyze situations and problem.
Experience in home visiting and case management is preferred.
Working experience in use of computers and computer applications, including internet, MS Office-Word, Excel, MS Edge, Google and other cloud-based applications.
May travel to client homes or hospital visits for medication administration and / or specimen collection, an occasional weekend and / or evening hour may be required.
Communicable disease and / or experience in epidemiology a plus.
