City Wide Construction Products is seeking a reliable and skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing our fleet of concrete mixer trucks and other heavy equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Pay is dependent upon the collective bargaining agreement. Wage during the probationary period is $23.75 and an increase to $24.75 after 90 days. City Wide also offers group health and life insurance, 401k with company match, paid vacation and holidays, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mixer trucks and other heavy equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
  • Complete DOT inspections and ensure equipment is compliant with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Communicate effectively with shop supervisors, drivers, and management regarding vehicle status and repair needs.
  • Keep shop and work areas clean, safe, and organized.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic systems, air brakes, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and understand repair manuals and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • CDL (preferred, not required).
  • Must have own tools (specialty tools provided).
